I could use some advise on building a training bay pen or the best way to get my young dogs started baying. What size  what materials. Shape etc

I say bigger is better. You want to make sure the pups/dogs have room to maneuver, to get away from the hog. IMO you want a minimum of 50x50.

For smaller hogs 75 lbs or less, cattle panels (16' long 48" high I think) work well. I've seen larger hogs jump and climb out of a cattle panel pen with nothing above the panels.

It's easier to work the pigs if you have some type of seperation/holding pen and a entrance/exit chute.

So like a round pen with a little cut off pen to cut the hogs off

I built a holding pen then put a round pen on the end, out of a full roll of hog wire(tied not welded wire) just put t-post ever 3 foot  works good for every thing and put it in the ground 6 inches took the top part and put an 45 degree angle of wire so pigs can't climb out.
