Got invited to hunt a high fence in Breckinridge, but I hear there's lots of cactus out there. Anybody hunt out there? How much does it affect the dogs ?

I live 45 minutes from there, cactus does not bother the dogs, although my buddies dog is blind in one eye from a cactus.

I hunt that area pretty often only have a problem if its a runner and its low lying cactus might slow the dogs up if its real thick but we catch them in it all the time, I would think more about your feet and legs then the dogs!!

My family land is 15 min from Breckenridge..Just depends on where your hunting but yes there is a lot of cactus and it can make your life and your dogs a living hell. Tough to stop a running boar hog in cactus country!

Just give the place to Trey, it's probably not worth your time hunting!  Wink
