Just bought a Rossi 357 mag carbine. Was wonderinf if anyone could suggest a good factory load for hogs.

I don't use hollow points any more , after skinning a big boar hog shot several times , i found two rounds that hit the shoulder shield and did't penetrate. Flat nose rounds work best for me . HUNT'UM UP !!!!!!

If you hit a twig with a hollow point you are liable to hit everything around a hog, I know a man that shot a good dog on accident with hollow points. Heavy lead that will mushroom and carry a lot of shock are what you want I believe.

I was kind of thinking the same thing about hollow points, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the help.
