I have learned to hate tails. I am tired of them banging them on kennel and bleeding also getting slapped in the face. Lol.   I have both but have to admit Bobtails are easier to manage.

 on average, Nope.
there is contrversy asto bobbing after they learn to walk bc it messes their balance up, but there are also confirmations to older dogs having to have the tail removed or part of it removed bc of injury and they never knew it was missing.
iv also heard speculation that it may hurt them physicaly though if they are bobbed to close to the spine.
its just dealer choice.

I hate a dog tail lol. I just don't dock my catch dogs. Mainly bc their ears are clipped. But that will probably change soon

They keep what they are born with. If they did not need them then they would be born without them. For all those that are getting slapped in their face with their dogs tails maybe you need to keep your face from their backends!!!! Grin

So Jeremy what do you do if it is a natural bobtail? I own dogs with both bob tails and long tails. I have young pup that keeps bleeding from it beating her tail on the fence. She is a high energy dog that runs the kennel baying my cows ALL Day.

If they are born that way fine..I once owned a natural bobtailed dog! Or if its a problem that's fine!! Just don't see the need to alter a dogs appearance by cutting off tails and ears cause it looks "cool"!
