Jefferson, Texas.  Not Austin, that is the name of the guy who owns the game cam.  Said they were seeing tracks.  Did not believe them.

Blew my mind.  Been in the woods a long time and never saw a sign.  Do alot of flying in a chopper as well.  Hogs, deer, coyotes and little cats.  Never that.  I am now a believer.  His dad quit hunting that lease.  It is near the dump ground in Marion County.

We are west and south of Jefferson between Kilgore and Tyler. There have been several reports of sightings; enough for me to believe we have a few in our area.

They're native to Texas. Like RyanTBH said, they are being spotted everywhere up here.

Seen one hunting one night by mud creek close to reklaw texas. He was standing on a downed pine tree. Never seen a bay dog so scared before, veteran dog was scanning the area not far ahead of us an all a sudden the dog takes off in the opposite direction then there are no dogs around at all. This was at night and Shen we spotted this big sucker it give u a chill up ur back!! All we had was a .22 pistol, after this little event we started to carry more heat!!! I was also very skeptical of the big cats in east texas... Until I was staring at one about 30 yards from me.

I was traveling for work back in September of 2011 going from Indiana to San Antonio. We were on 79 north of Palestine. About two miles north of Lost Lake Prairie Road. a mountain lion crossed the road in front of me. It was about 3 in the morning.  I couldn't believe I saw it.  And was not pleased with my passenger because he was out cold.  So of course, I was left claiming to have seen one and everyone else to tell me I am full of it.  Haha.

I saw one when I was prob about 12-13 years old while riding with my uncle who is a pumper.  It was middle of the day and about 5-10 seconds behind a doe that come running across the lease road, so he stopped to see if there were anymore that were gonna cross when that thing just slowly walked by and looked at us then once it crossed most of the road, you could see it run again and off into the mesquites.  Up between Archer City and Lake Kickapoo.  I wish I could see one sometime with a gun in my hands and get a chance atleast!
