Well, I want to say A, but I also want him to catch with the CD if need be too! So I'm a A and B kind of guy... LOL!  I simply answered "A" because you said either A or B but Ryans long answer and mine are exactly the same. |

This answer should be dictated by the type of country your are hunting not your personal preference. I have several types of dogs so I can put down a pack that will fit about any type of area day or night.
A, when it is no problem for the bay to move around. Big properties, open flatter country, and/or day hunt.
B when it is important for the bay (hog) to stay put no matter what. Rough country, small tracks of land, and/or at night.

Either get gone or just stay back... That's what the catch dogs are for... Of course not all of them do it, but I guarantee when I get there they better get off or get a boot... Now if you have help dogs I guess they need something to do....  |

I use small 1 pit, i dont think she weighs 45lbs, i like for my bay dogs to help out but not until she gets there. Different strokes brother! |

My damn Hunter dog just spent a week at the vet from getting a piece of his upper jaw shattered from a tusk going thru the side of his head. Let the bulldogs dogs do the catching and the bay dogs go on a huntin'. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work like that, but when I grab the hog and tell them to get out, they better listen. I don't tolerate much rude behavior. |
