When my dogs got cut up about 2 1/2 weeks ago my 11 month old pup got cut up pretty bad. Went hunting yesterday and the day before for the first time since they got cut. We got on hogs both days and he was very interested but wouldn't really go in. I have never had him stay as close to us as he did. When I got him home I brought him to the bay pen and he bayed his A$$ off. Right in a big boars face. Never let up and never backed down. Was wondering what's y'all's input on the whole situation.

Tie some little hogs and bring him back by his self. Leave it loose enough it can squirm and cover a little ground. Let him find and bay it even if you have to walk him by it let him find it. And praise him inordinatly. He lost his confidence just as you say. The best way to get it back is on hogs he can take. Keep working him if he seems willing and he will get most of it back if he did it before he got cut. And he still a pup
