Well I dont really know what to say here.  All I can say is the Flordia Cracker/Partin God has shinned on this ole Country Boy and his soup hounds.

Here about two months ago I took my best gyp my Whitey dog the Cracker Cur Partin dog to a 500 acres  had a big ole boar hog in there he needed to get out .  Well my Whitey dog was coming in heat are so I thought but evedinelty she was futher along than what I thought .   Well Cracker and her decided to get married and now Am the Grandpaw of 9 black and tan 1/2 Fla Crackers and 1/4 the old Joe blood and a 1/4 the old Legs blood.  Boy Boy Boy !  I wanted to do this breeding but I decided not to cause I didnt want my gyp to be knocked up during prime hunting season the first part of the year . Its fixing to get real intresting here in Texas !

I remember you posting saying you was thinking about this cross. You know the old saying. "Be careful what you wish for"  Grin

Jimmy, you should buy some stock in the company that makes the staple guns you use. That way you can make some of your money back when those pups get old enough to hunt !  laugh

Lance you sure are right about that make some money back between dog food vet bills and equipment and everything else these dogs got it better than me .  Hex I went from Miller Lite to Key Stone already Lmao !

I tell ya what I was shocked when I seen all them Black and Tan are Cream colored pups.  Then I really had to pick myself up off the ground when I started cking for natural bob tails hell there were five of them .  I have had this bloodline for a long time and this is the very first time I have had a liter dominated by another bloodline.  Even my ole Deets dog was a black and tan and when he was bred to the family he never throwed a whole liter of clones .  Yeah I was shocked for sure.  Ole Cracker put his mark on not a few but every damn one of them LOL !

No problem Noah.

Whitey is just some old blood down from some old RIP dogs call Joe and Leggs.  Just some old family blood that goes way back,  a good friend has had for years and years and I have had now for a long time myself.

Well really all I can speak of is the ones that I have owned over the years.  I had two daughters of Joe and I had a double son of Little Legs also I got a daughter of CO who is a son of Joe bred to a daughter of my ole Blu gyp who is a daughter of Joe and more I got here.  Like I said I can only speak of the ones I have owned .  The best way I can put this is like this .  I myself like the short to med dogs which I call 100 to really around a 1000 yds out hunting and looking for tracks are sign .  I guess the best way to put this is these dogs will hunt how ever far out a man wants to hunt and by that I mean it all depends on how you start them out and with what kind of dog you start them out with.  If you start them out with long range dogs you better look out cause they are going to go and then never be a noting but long range with that said if you start them out with a short to med range dog and I a good no nonsense short to med range dog then these dogs will hunt short to med and will pretty much stay like that unless you start running them with the big long range dogs then they will sooner are later take on off with them and then like I said once they become long ranged like that there is not much looking back.  That is because these dogs want to b long long ranged dogs .  So a man has to be careful what he hunts them with and know for a fact what range of dog he wants and keep these dogs with those ranged dogs.  Short to med is what I like and I do not and wont hunt mine with big ranged dogs because it is already in them and that is what they want to b and once are twice of hunting them like that its no looking back you got yourself a instant long range dog that will not really go back to hunting short again.   I  like the ruffer side of these dogs which is the Joe blood  my old Blu gyp was as ruff as they come but smart type ruff that is why she is nearly ten years old and still hunting but has been on many many trophy type boar hogs been cut to hell and back but still breathing very very smart dogs .  Fianlly two years ago she said enuff is enuff and she went to backing off and not trying to catch bigger hogs but she will damn sure make one sit down but just not catch like she use to which am damn glad .  That is the meduim that am tryin to get here dogs like she is now stop them hold them catch what you can and if you cannot just hold the big hog till we can get there thats the key and were the sweet spot is and eveyr body is looking for  getting dogs that will do this but it is not easy at all it take some pretty stricked breeding and culling and still may not get there but I bet we can get damn close  .  Smart nuff to know you cannot catch this big sucker , smart nuff to know he is gonna run like hell if you cant and smart enuff to know if I just hold you here till the bulldogs are the hunter gets there we will get the pig .

Certain ways you breed these dogs to get the distance out of the long range dogs and certain way to breed these dogs to get what am looking for the stopping power to hold and catch the big bad boys because there is no problem finding them the problem is keeping them sit down till you can get there and cut out all this BS running I hate a running hog man hate hate hate and there is a key to this we just got to find it .

More on this trying to get perfection of stopping power and brains .

Everybody says well hell Jimmy thats easy just breed your dogs and do a bulldog cross .  No thats is not what am talking about .  A bulldog cross is gonna be caught damn near on every hog no matter how big are how rank.  That leads into dogs getting killed more it leads into bigger vet bills and is a real headache  but does it produce hogs why sure it does but not what the bigger picture is here. I myself care to much about my dogs and what I breed to just be replace dog after dog all due to me just saying hey man look am a bad mofo I just caught the baddest mofo in the woods but the other story is how many dogs have you got killed and replaced  to get this hog caught.  I want dogs I can use for years not a revolving door here dogs dogs dogs and not give a damn how they are bred I just want the hog , thats not what am about .   The bigger picture here is trying to perfect the dogs trying to get cur dogs to were they will be smart have brains work a hog sit him down hold him if he is a bigger hog than they can handle .  Having the brains to know once they test the hog to know if he is catchable are not and going to plan B if he is not back up a little and  hold the damn hog till help can get there .  This is the challenge people this right here.  Finding a hog is no problem catching and producing trophy boar hogs with the same dogs year in and year out is !   Thats what am about and want .  Great dogs that can live long enuff to produce more like themselves .  People gonna say well people been trying that for years all I can say maybe they have but am gonna have my shot at it too Good Lord Willing And the Creeks dont rise .  Maybe so maybe not thats what its all about .

With all that said bla bla bla ..........I will proably end up 85 yrs old on my death bed still trying to make the perfect breeding are dog  !  But one thing about it cant nobody say that I didnt try am out here now with one liter on the ground one in the oven and still need to make one more to see were all this leads time time time and money money money and its a damn long process  .  If somebody tells you they got the market conered you better run like hell and not look back are put a big ass band aid on your hole in the butt  .
