Buddy of mine (bluecrazy) had a mule footed boar in a room/pen with almost 9' to the top and this little 40# boar would jump about five foot straight up then run up the walls another three foot, gripping the corigations in the horizontal tin it was crazy how high he could jump!

A cuple years ago I was building fence with a Beakert Fence rep. I told him that our hogs could easily clear a 4 or 5 ft fence and he told me no they cant , he said in texas they fence out hogs all the time ! But you know Reps are highlyy trained ! Guess Ill forward this pic to Beakart lol , thanks Monty !

Lol...yep. Saw a 250+ Boar try a fence at a bay pen years ago. He was a green hog so he wasn't exactly use to the bay pen scene. Anyway...they had standard cattle panels that had shade cloth attached. Above that, another half cattle panel...so like 6-7 feet. Well... This boar decided he had had enough on this particular run in a competition...took off and ran about 30-40 feet...dog didn't stop him...he had a full head of steam when he jumped...would have cleared the cattle panel w/shade cloth but hit the one on top...bounced back 10 feet...lol. Scared the bejesus out off some spectators though....haha!

We had a sow jump out of our pen one time, I couldn't believe it, lol. You wouldn't think they can jump like that with the way they are built but I guess that's survival instinct kicking in, lmao

Great pic! That'll settle some of the skeptics! I too have seen a hog jump a 6' fence at a bay pen, and he was gone!
