do yall know of any straight bmc lines that are not as tall and are almost built like a game bred pit really rough between medium to short range but still have good nose power??? ive seen a few pics on here but not to much info on them. and also in the long shot would u wrether have a tall lanky dog or a short low centered dog??? if u have some pics would be nice

These dogs are what you are describing. Not really considered BMC some call them FL curs I just call them curs. They are a really rough type cur and catch what they can handle. I like them with a little leg under them but still stout through body and head.

I have always preferred stockier dogs....like MOST Catahoula's are built. Never owned a yella till this passed year and my luck...he's leggy and lanky. He's a keeper though. Comes from mostly cattle stock. I THINK alot of the cattle dogs are built this way...but I ain't no expert.

Here's my bob cox cur....good nose, powerhouse, rough..I think he really is part game bred lol.
His daughter I bred came out with same body type.

Here's a male I got about a month back with a shorter built unlike the lanky ones I've had before. I love the ones built like a bull dog! he's not nearly as short as a game bred but he's about 8" shorter then my other male and my brothers male.

the line I have hunted for about the last 15 years are as you described.  Thick, stocky, with big chuckle bulldog heads.  Medium range, with lots of grit.  We run them mostly off of the hood and are trying to keep the line alive.  They wont suit everyone, but they sure suit a lot of us whom hunt them.  Will try to get some pics when I get home monday.

my currs are rough catchy and short range they may go 450 out hunting. they dont bark much .  iv got a litter on the way.
