Not saying it right wrong nothing but most comments on here have been about me me me. So you have hogs to hunt which i understand because people like to shot them eat them and hunt with dogs all of which i love to do. But what about the land owners that the hogs you cut go to and eat there crops destroy the field and take food off of the table. What about those people that the barrs effect are your ambitions to catch hogs for yourself weigh more than the farmer that cant pay the bills because the hogs killed his crops? This is all just questions im interested in everybodies though process here. personally i would kill every hog and never hunt them again if it would help the farmers survive and feed their families bc in the long run they feed me as well.

I will say this. That piece of property you are hunting in point blank if he gave me open range to hunt it there would not be any hogs left on it in 3 months. I hunted it one day took two hogs off with young dogs. I didn't even know anything about that land. The reason I was ask to come hunt that place is because I removed hogs for another rancher friend of his. We cleaned house. I only release where im allowed. Remove where im ask to. I did not release any of those hogs that came out of point blank and i never will do to his request.

If i recall correctly you spent 8 hrs there friday night and left with not a single hog tied. Im not here to argue with anyone because there are a few things i could say but are no bodies business and im not here to fight with anyone. So lets just leave it at that. Young dogs hey because i recall you telling me your best gyp was there and kept rolling out and out so lets leave this as it is and move on. The hogs in point blank flat run. I started on his pasture line and went all the way to the lake which was 5.63 miles exactly in one direction and i run rough dogs 200lbs and down 2 dogs will catch. Im not saying it cant be done but i have hunted there with rough dogs loose dogs other peoples dogs and never seen more than 4 hogs taken in one hunt.

What about that possum that y'all's dogs were running when JJ caught them lol

And actually you are correct they did not tie anything, but the dogs killed over a half dozen pigs & stayed in them for hours

Internet arguing is hilarious to me. So many people can just sit back and hide behind a screen name and say whatever to stir the pot when they have no business. People get on here and comment on issues that they have no clue about. People that know all of us, know we are genuinely good sportsman that enjoy hog hunting and amazing dog work; & we show it week in and week out by putting lots of hogs in the trailer.

We hunt for the fun. I agree we won't enter anymore tourneys after this year that don't allow Barr hogs. This will be our 4 or 5th year of hunting tournaments. And before that we still hog hunted like crazy, now we just do it because the tournament weekends usually end up some of the best hunts of our life with great friends.

I just hope our experiences have brought the light to people about the problems with excluding any hogs from a tournament.

The best thing about this weekend is we have the 401# Barr on 2 seperate go pro's, its not the best footage but you still get the full experience. we will be able to relive that day for the rest of our lives. Hopefully we'll have the videos put together by the end of the week. Our video chronographer will start working on it tonight

Bring out the (POPCORN)!!!!! Evil

The good thing about barring a hog is the neighbor next door can catch that fat
sucker and eat him too!!! The good thing about a Barr hog is good cutters for the trophy room and lots
of meat!!! If you cut the ears off shame on you I don't want my dog getting wrecked, been their, done
that. Cry  Everybody had to of read the rules before they entered the tournament, Don't we think
we have enough problems by people exposing the bad part about hog hunting with dogs than a Barr hog
or Boar hog!!

By the way Good hog!!! Wink

Easttexasoutlaw33.. You are a funny guy. I recall your dog running to our ranger while chasing a possum. And yal said yal were just running a hog and that yals dogs are addicted to 4 wheelers and will pull off a hog to just come back. Then before that we listen to yals story about catching a 450-550lb boar hog.. Really? Come on Now! Grow up!

Y are y'all making it into A big deal if the contest doesn't allow Barr hogs then don't hunt it Don't know y'all but it sounds like y'all have some good dogs and a lot of country to hunt so it shouldnt be hard for y'all to find some good boar hogs if y'all are catching 15 hogs everytime ur dogs hit the ground

All of this boils down to a bunch of jealousy. Just because you don't cut boar hogs nor have any Barr hogs on your property you think everybody else is cheating. If your that mad about it sounds like you need to either sell YOUR dogs and get a new hobby or start cutting boars. Easy as that.

Clint, I think it's the other way around, maybe y'all are jealous cuz you can't catch any good boars that's why y'all are complaining so much about not being able to use barrs in contest. Stop trying to put the shoe on the other foot. Realize ppl down here don't cut hogs because they actually help eliminate hog problems instead of making them eat more!! So we will never cut hogs to take advantage of, or as y'all say make them TASTE better!!!
