Clint, I think it's the other way around, maybe y'all are jealous cuz you can't catch any good boars that's why y'all are complaining so much about not being able to use barrs in contest. Stop trying to put the shoe on the other foot. Realize ppl down here don't cut hogs because they actually help eliminate hog problems instead of making them eat more!! So we will never cut hogs to take advantage of, or as y'all say make them TASTE better!!!

Different areas call for different methods. If you had the opportunity and the places to cut hogs, you would. Clint is exactly right, the shoe fits where it fits, not where you want it to fit.  It's jealously and hog hunters are ate up with it.  Y'all are grasping at straws saying that barrs are made for tournaments when they're not, most who Barr hogs Barr them because they enjoy the sport, myself included. There's never been a problem with barrs until tournaments arose and people wasn't winning, so of course let's change the rules because people are jealous and whining and complaining. You can argue and say the dogs aren't good and the real hog hunters catch boars and that barrs are easy, but you're being laughed at because anybody with any sense knows thats the biggest load of BS ever wrote.

Last time I checked you had to catch a boar to make a Barr.

No i just dont like people who run there mouth and dont know what you are talking about. When it comes to barrs and boar i dont care one bit but when you start. Talking number 2 about folks dogs that u have no clue about i have a weigh sheet on both hogs you think is a lie. So you need to get your facts straight before you run your mouth. it funny watch all yal whin about barr hog this and that. Also when comes to growing up im a 30 yr old man and i promise you i have caught as many or more bigger hogs the you but that not my point i do this for the love of the sport not to see if im better than other. my dogs i have now arent as  good as what i did have but i catch hogs and thats all that matter to me not the money or trophies none of that why i hunt. So jus leave my name out of this yal can all act like i bunch of liitle cry baby asses .

Colton, i wasn't going to share my input till i just read this one..  Downing someone elses dogs is a low blow and very immature...  Leave it be man, i can stand up for Tony and Eric and I'm sure Chance because ive hunted with them one time which was enough for me..  I invited them up to my country where i have NO BARRS and we caught plenty of boars man.  I have caught one barr in my life and I bet I've been around longer by reading the SH&& you keep posting...  Voice your opioun on the barr post but bashing someones dogs after a awesome weekend of hunting is rediculous and i'll stand up for anyone ive hunted with when quotes start flying like that!  

I got a good question for you Colton, have you ever caught 20 even 15 hogs in a weekend?

I hope you'll catch all the hogs that are causing the damage to farm, & crops.  If we only had 20% of the hogs we have it would eliminate 95% of the hog hunters.  That would make me happy

Txhog, I  just hunted a contest caught 25 hogs, let's all make this real simple. Enter hallettsville and let the score sheet do the talking. If your not going to enter because of whatever then I don't think you need to be running your mouth how many hogs you can catch or not. Til those hogs are turned in at the contest it's all a bunch of talk!!! Not saying im going to win anything just saying if you catch all the hogs everyone says they catch they shouldn't be ashamed of entering.

I will be there with my team and if i understand correctly Chance and TOny and Eric will be there as well with there team, i deff don't think there scared and I'm deff not cause I have plenty of money to loose!    I'm just saying you might need to tone it down a little before you get barred in one of these contest!   Good luck and i hope to meet you at the weigh in!

I was thinking the same thing need to ban the sows also. That way yall can see who has the real boar dogs.
Wouldn't that be a shame for the guy who caught the 394 pd. sow if he couldn't enter it in a contest if he would have been in one.

You are literally one of the most unintelligent people I have ever heard talk about hog hunting. I have caught some dandy boar hogs well over 300 lbs and guess what I done with them? Cut em.

And If you really wanna know my opinion I think the whole idea of a "hog hunting" contest is stupid. It's all turned into my dogs are better than your dogs BS.

 I like to go and cut boar hogs. Hell I don't even like carrying tie rope, much less drag one of them things out of the woods.

I just read this entire post, its sad to see all of these hunters arguing with each other, really frustrates me. Between this and what happened in the splendora tourny with all backstabbing and behind the back bullnumber 2 I can guarantee you wont ever see this fatboy in any big tourney, ever.

Everyone, remember why we started this.......for the love of the game.... don't know about ya'll but I love this sport and hate hearing all of the arguing and seeing hunters divided. I widh all of you the best of luck in the woods.
