Well yesterday my ole friend Robert decided to knock some dust off Obama, we headed to our deer lease to see if the old black dog still knew how....along on the hunt was Duane and Lewis. Duane has a few of obamas offsping that are makin dogs.   We looked hard for sign to drop on for a while, finally we dropped on a track. My lady gyp rolled out about 400 and sounded off and my chrissy gyp went to her and the race was on. Well 4.5 hours later we get the beep on the garmin saying treed. That lil 50lb sucker took my two girls on a tour of the lease and the next lease over. We got the girls picked up and the bbq pig on the ranger and headed to another spot to try to start another. I kept lady on the buggie this time because at this point it was just past noon and i really didnt want to get on another runner. I dropped chrissy and robert dropped obama and a few more tweety offspring. I watched chrissy cold trail out to about 900 yrds obama made it to her and the race was on. They ran the hog around in a super thick thicket. They were bayed at .75 from us we get around close to them and lead bulldogs in and it broke. 200 yards later bayed again walk some more and broke. We haul butt back to the ranger and head 1.1 back north to try to head them off. I pass a rd pretty close to where the dogs are headed and i caught a glimpse of something runnin down the rd... I back up and saw a big hog standing there with obama and chrissy gassing on it up the rd behind it. We dump the box and the dogs got him set down about three hundred yards later. Sent peewee to him and got the hog tied. It was a good barr that is now being turned into jalepeno and cheese sausage. It was a good hunt and some good exposure for two of my jp hound pups.  It was good to see the old black dog still has what it takes.

I sent  my blue catahoula in to put the breaks on that barr hog. She had his full attention when we got there. lol... robert said that blue gyp is MAD as hell at that hog!!! my blue cat has the meanest hardest chopping bay i have heard...I still have a couple cats, But the type of bottom it takes to catch these runners aint gonna be found in most pure bred cats i believe.
