I have seen some deer on the side of the roads with some decent racks so I talked my dad into putting his cam up at his lease. We weren't expecting much but this is what we found...

Its not a high fence ranch. The deer have actually not been very good traditionally. We decided to try a different approach with the feed and have had dramatic results.

We have just been using some protein feed mixed with corn that we get at the local feed store. I cant remember the name of it right off hand. We have been ensuring the feeder never runs out by checking it at least once a week and keeping the protein in there year round.
