Two times this month on my facebook page i had two facebook friends (someone i dont know at all) add a picture on facebook of cut up dogs. I sent a private message to both guys asking them to remove the pictures. One guy took my private message and posted it on facebook like look at this dumb ars, well it didnt take long and he had a ton of people defending my view point and he took the video down and apologized to me. The latest guy just said he would NOT take the pic down and that they will never outlaw hog hunting with dogs. I have seen so many of my rights or privileges taken away in my life that i refuse to just sit by silent when i see these pics and videos posted for anyone to see. These pictures and videos do not make you look cool. So what is the point of posting them?? If you enjoy hog hunting with dogs police yourself and others. If you see a video or picture send them a private message and ask them to remove it with an explanation of why they need to. I purposely do not comment on the facebook pictures because all of my friends will see my comment along with the picture and then it spreads like wild fire. If you see these types of pics and vids and feel the way i do dont just ignore it do something about it. I will get off my soap box now!! X2  |

One day people will realize that it is not smart to post any and every aspect of your friggin lives on Facebook. ALOT of people have gotten themselves in trouble from things they've put up on that site that were incriminating wether they were innocent or not. I don't have a Facebook nor do I ever plan on having one. It's scarey that people act shocked when I tell them we don't have a Facebook account.
Of course posting pics of busted up dogs is not a smart thing to do on the internet in general, especially when we have animal rights activists galore that are DYING to do away with hunting in general. That's like GIVING them free ammo. I don't see why for some people posting pics of the caught hogs to share isn't enough.
I can't believe that one person gave you crap about asking him to take it down. If he thinks our sport is not in any danger whatsoever of being banned, he's in denial, and his antics are adding to the problem.
Hell as far as hunting with dogs goes, over here in MS they recently tried to ban running deer with dogs I believe. It's such a shame. Something that is part of our culture, and way of life stemming years and years back is under such scrutiny. Hunting....which is a way of survival for some folks.....

Peach, I don't do the facebook thing so forgive me if I sound ignorant. Do you not have complete control of your page? Why do you have
to ask someone to remove pics on your page? If thats how it works it seems a person doesn't have control of the contents on his/her own page. I tried to understand Facebook but I just don't get it. Seems people are just fishing for comments or for people to "Like US On Facebook" I know there is more to Facebook than I understand so please don't think I'm dissing you.
As for as the jack assses making a comment about they will never outlaw hog hunting with dogs, well......We shall see. All this join this,
join that is fine and dandy but the one thing that will have the biggest impact on keeping this sport going is hunters better quit posting
videos and pics all over the web. It's going to come back and bite us all on the arse. Baying pics fine, Hunters posing with dead hog & dogs fine, dogs hanging off hog Not Fine, Dogs cut up Not fine.

Its as stupid in my opinion as getting VD and posting pics of it.

Save ur speech for ur wife buddy u have missed my point... It is not that a fb friend is doing anything wrong it is that idiots are posting pictures of stuff they shouldnt. The two guys my original post talked about may not even be on my friends list... It could have been one of my friends said something about it and it showed up on my news feed. My point to all my biotchin was that SOME of the younger generation of hog doggers thinks it makes them look cool to post pics of wrecked dogs. |

I dont know personaly, but i was told that after the school shootin up north and all the anti-gun governmental garbage, people were posting the 2nd admendment stuff n facebook was removing the posts n the same when super chimp got reelected, a lot comments n 1st admendment stuff was getting removed.
If they supposedly can remove comments, why cant they remove pics?

You talk to bear hunters and they'll tell ya in a hurry that you tube and facebook has ruined bear hunting with dogs in many areas, legislation passed outlawing. Hog dogging will be next and these dummy's just give the commies the rope to hang us with.

Google something bruin. PETA sent under cover people on actual hunts to get pics and video of illegal activities to collect the reward money for turning in poachers. Be careful who you invite and what you post anywhere and what you say.
I have sent several of those same PM's also. I don't think its do much that the younger generation is stupid, but actually ignorant of the fact about PETA and h$u$ and what their capable of and how they operate.
I agree it should be common sense but how many us done ignorant stuff when we were younger? I know I done my fair share.
Times have changed drastically over the last 20 yrs. Best we can do is try our best to educate them.

I agree theres a big problem that will be the end of our dog hunting priviledges.A friend and i were just talking about this to many people exploit hunting and killing instead of the real reason trying to control a hog problem.You very rarely see a pic of destroyed land and someone saying i took these 2 pest off the property.We should be protecting a tradition and the livelihood of farmers and ranchers as well as risk for disease the cost of insurance due to damage we have lost sight of things.You cant reach all people some will just keep on until its gone they think hunting is a right well its not its a priviledge that can be takin away at anytime these moderators on here stay busy makin sure idiots dont post stupid things (hats off to you guys)we have to pull together and watch what we do and say.You take a look at facebook and youtube you see this crap doing nothing but making us look like fools that have no concern.I love hog hunting and been at it almost 20yrs with dogs i myself dont want to become an outlaw to do something i enjoy.Now some of you will think im wrong about this while others see the point and those are your opinions and you are entiltled to them but for the sake of all dog hunters use your head before you make post.
