Took the dogs out last night to stretch their legs, its been a few weeks and they were driving me crazy barking. So anyway, we were walking down the road and my dog charged a bush. He didn't go in it tho. But he was barking and growling, so of course I was tellin him "get it, go on, get it". Then a dang game warden pops up yelling grab your dog. I just about peed myself. I wasn't expecting that at all. Anybody else had that happen before?

It wasn't bad, he just asked what we were doing, and if we had any guns on us. Which we didn't.

Good thing the dog wasnt a strait catch, no bark guard dog. That warden woulda been up that paticular creek, w/o a paddle. Was a public road he was hiding off of? Maybe nxt time he will use a scent eleminator.

Its a funny story. Do you always encourage your dogs to bark at trash or were they not your hog dogs you were exercising?

It is those sneaky wardens job to not be seen... This year headed back from a beer run at the deer lease i decided to open the ole ford up a tad. Topped a hill and there stood a good buck. I swerved to miss the deer and almost wrecked... The next morning the gamewarden came by the camp and said u should have hit that deer, you almost killed yourself!! It is still a freakin mystery where he was hiding. When i asked him where he was he said it was his job to not be seen.

The particular dog that I was encouraging to get it, is just a yard dog. She loaded up with the other dogs so I brought her. The other dogs were running ahead of us.

It's a place that you have to own a lot in the area to be able to go in it. They have a problem with people taking game out of season. So I'm assuming the game wardens hangout in there alot.

I was told as a kid to never go hiding in bushes where people hunt. You might get shot. What is he going to do when the deer is standing in front of him and someone shoots at it from their truck misses and shoots his dumb butt without knowing and just drives off. Go park off to the side and when you hear a shot start stopping everyone driving out. That is how I see them do it and it works. I have been stopped a few times and never was the GW in danger. But I know a few boys that would pay good money for a GW Dog So do you start them in a pen with a GW
