My collar will have not connect to handheld ... when trying to add collar it says be sure units touch etc i have used this collar before ... its just not connecting .. any suggestions??

Try removing the antenna from the collar and cleaning the contact points real good.

I agree...these things are a bit fickle sometimes......but Lord they're so much better than the old radio collars. Just so you know Mitch,.....the first two DC40s that I bought enevtually had to have the antennas replaced, Garmin did this under warranty.....I then replaced them with tuff-skin antennas from Conkey's supply and haven't had that happen again.

Do you have another dc40 that works? You can take the antenna off the one that's working and put it on the one that isn't to see if its the antenna.. I had that problem today and had to order another antenna
