My dad found this pic of my granddaddy from 1970 with a few of his cow/hog dogs. I thought it was pretty cool. That old man loved to catch some swine.

Thanks fellas, yes I wish I had that truck and its cargo. I remember bouncing across palmettos in some of his old Broncos when I was a little fella. He took me on my first hunt when I was 5. Dogs had a sow caught in a swamp but he was too crippled from hip surgery to go in. So, he sent me in with a ruger 10/22 to kill the sow. We had to go fetch my dad from hay field to come drag her out and butcher her. Dad was proud and mad at the same time. I guess grandad was lucky that this 5 year old could shoot straight. That's one story I will never forget.

That's why dad was mad, I remember him saying "you old fool, that boy could have shot your dogs or himself" Grandaddy just stood there with a huge grin, he didn't care. I also remember we got stuck and when he got out to lock the hubs, he fell down and couldn't get up. I tried to help but ended up just sitting there while he crawled through the palmettos over to a pine tree and eventually pulled himself up. Ah, the good ole days.

Man... You need to get you an 8 x 10 print made of that old photo and put it in a frame.
