Tryin to see if anyone hunts there black mouths in the hill country and how they work with all the rocky hilly terrain. Do they just need to adjust to the terrain or?

I went to Bulverdae a few weeks ago and hunted around there and boerne. Just north of San Antonio. My dogs did fine and hunted the same as they do anywhere else. The only thing I would suggest is dont drop rangy dogs or your in for one hell of a hike. Even if its just 500 yds it's rough goin. Lots of hogs tho. And also lots of caves, snakes, cactus, rocks, and hills. Lol but I like to hunt new country but the only thing I would do next time I go back is leave the rangy dogs on their chain.

Canyon ranch and I hunted my ranch in marble falls about two months ago for the first time. It's was a learning experience for us and the dogs. After about a mile run halfway to a bay down in the canyons then back to the ranger and a 20 minute drive to another piece of property and a lot of walking we finally caught a sow, not the boar we were on at the beginning of the ordeal. Lol it will keep you in shape for sure.

We hunt a lot of rocky canons , hills here in Oklahoma , my dogs seem to run there pass off faster in this type of Ground , they have no problem hunting it , the more the rocks the fAster there pads go

Condition your dogs pads and you better wear some good hiking boots. Anything else and you both will be out of commition for a couple of days
