The topic about getting dogs off properties w/o permission had me thinkin about something I do. When I go out of state or real far from my "home teritory" to hunt w/ friend I put one of there collars w/ there name and number w/ mine that way sometimes locals know the person and increase your chances of gettting your dog back.

Down here in Florida I know guys who have hunted on the management area special hunts here and have been writen tickets from game wardens for not having the dog owners name address and phone number on the dogs collars.  I think another reason they passed that law was if the law man catches your dog on private property or land closed to hunting they can charge you with tresspassing.

I was more getting at loosing a dog in a different State type deal and trying to increase the chances of getting the dog back. I have lost dogs on OK an LA and had to head back to TX and was lucky enough to have my buds get the call to fetch my dog.
