I just had knee surgery an cant get to rough right now but my wife's grandmother an uncle rent a house from us an here the past month he can't come up with his part remember he is her family not mine what would y'all do

i would have to agree with boarhunter now that uv said his age. it does suck to help family out to get bent over the table by them, but like boarhunter said, dont know the full situation.

Is it all the time or just this month? Put him to work around your place. Work him hard enough that in the future he'd rather pay than work for you.

That's a great idea an this is only the second month an he has not payed either month yet he just got out of jail he went to work soon as he got out but that was the deal he would move in with his mother an help her pay the bills cause I was paying half for her cause she's not able to work i don't mind helping her at all it just seems to me an pay day he always says hes broke.

Sorry but family or not he would be headed down the road, hell you were already paying his 1/2 anyway, if he ain't gonna pay it then get him gone........sorry but I don't do well with freeloaders.....if he is working and agreed to pay rent but can't then where the hell is his money goin?? I gotta get up before the crack of dawn and work all dang day to pay for my bills, I ain't gonna pay for someone else to live free! |

If dude can't come up with the $$, I'm sure I could find enough work around the two houses to keep him busy. The yard can always use a mowing, maybe walking my dogs, rotating my tires, etc. THE LIST would be worse than getting a job or paying the rent.

It depends on your situation. If that is an income for you then I would tell them you can help with rent somewhere else but you need the rent paid by someone. Now if you don't need the money go talk to them about lowering the rent or something. You have to handle it nice but you don't have to give people a free place to live. I hope they at least are keeping the place up.

Make him pay 10 extra dollars a day until he gets it payed. If he dont pay kick his !@# out. People go through tough times, but some people are sorry low lifes that want a free ride. Which one do you have living at your rent house? if he is a low lifes go ahead and kick him out now save yourself some future headaches.
