Myles, i came up with $0.66 per dog per day on my formula of annual bill. Doing it mr whittens methed, IF a 50# bag is $20, it comes out to $0.40 per lb and IF ur feedin exactly 1lb per day per dog, its costing you .40c a dog a day. With mr whittens method, @ $80 a mth, 80*12=960, $960/50= $19.20 a bag

yeah miles by your post your feeding each dog a bag a month  just divide say 30 into the cost of a bag of feed and you should get you a rough estimate of your daily cost per dog  . that should round off to around 67 cents a day . and you are feeding each dog approx a little over a pound and a half a day . you could most likely tweek them back a bit and get a better average .

Halfbreed are you getting caliber at cost? It's 24 a bag here. I'm feeding the caliber value pack and it's still over 22 a bag

i get mine at the farmers co-op in canton and paying retail price for it but the co-op has got the best prices in this area on just about everything you need to buy . the value pack in the white bag is only 19 something here i haven't bought any of it since i wanted to knock some weight off the dogs wich it did  . now the caliber did go up a couple months ago to 23 something but has come back down to . ok i just looked at my reciept it is 21.95 this month  lol  last month i bought it for 20.75  they must have needed to push out the last lot  . so that's 21.95 plus tax for the camo bag 24/20 . either that or that gal is kinda sweet on me  lol .

2000-2500 a month. for all the groceries in my house. dog food is included in that. I figure about 100 bucks a month in dog food alone.Undecided food stamps sounds nice but there's 1 problem. I'm not lazy and have a job....

from me.....who else. tapatalk

OK, that clears it up-thanks ya'll.     I figured now its .42 cents a pound/dog....., 4 pounds a day, so it's now 1.68  per day to feed all four.....I think thats good to know. $600 plus a year,

I buy the Tractor Supply Retriever green/yella bags, they do fine for my dogs and go from 19 to 21 a 50# sack.

Just started a part time job at tractor supply and there was an older cowboy came in and bought 30 fifty pound bags of retriever and 10 bags of sweet feed Shocked Shocked Shocked. I asked the kid that was help me load it and he said he comes through every other Tuesday and gets the same thing. I'd hate to see his feed Bill for every month

I spend around 300 a month on 11 dogs. I want to try caliber but I can't find it any closer than 200 miles from llano tx. I called the manufacturer and tried to be a dealer and they wouldn't return any of my calls

I started killing the hogs I catch instead of selling them and feeding my dogs with the hogs. And just feeding dog food when we hit a dry spell  saves me a ton   plus the hogs arent selling for much so it saves me time too. But if indo feed its about .50 .60 cents per dog a day
