$80 a month, 4 dogs, feed em every night. 50 pound bag every 7 days. They eat pretty good in my opinion.

Im feeding Diamond High Energy and Diamond Performance. I buy 2-3 bags of High Energy a week (depending on winter/summer) and 1 performance every week an a half. Im scared to add it up, its probably close to a truck payment.

I did some thinking, and if my math is right, every mouth i feed is 25 cents a day. Thats a good way for me to look at it. If its 4 or 40 dogs in the yard, each one will cost me 25 cents a day. Can any of you smart math folks put a formula up and help us see an accurate way to figure this?

With my food bill at $300 every 4 months on the low end and 7 dogs, It would be 900/52= $17.30 a wk, 17.30/7= $2.47 a day, 2.47/7= $0.35 per dog, per day. For monthly bill: 300/4= 75 a mth, 75/30= 2.50, 2.50/7= $0.35

what i have allways done is to just weigh what you feed and divide that into the cost of the bag and get the cost per day of each dog . in other words . divide the cost by 50 and get price per pound of feed , weigh the daily ration yatta yatta yatta . 50# of caliber cost me around 42 cents a pound and i feed right at a pound a day per dog . i think your math might be off a little miles . i would use this formula when i sold started dogs that i raised to know pretty much exactly what i had in a dog and how much i needed to get just to break even .
