Wallowing holes is a good way to hunt big hogs! If you know where the holes are, hogs won't be far.

I just hate it when they catch the hog in the waller. We had one big boy that kept getting away. One day I sat back because they always went back and forth. Well when they finally bayed I started to the bay going past the waller. Well I met the big boy nose to nose. He got away from me but I figured out that he was running the dogs back and forth through the other pigs until they they looked at other pigs and then he ran into the waller to cover his smell and hide. So I gathered the dogs up and waited a few hours for things to settle back down. Turned the dogs out but kept my best bay dog back. I let the chase go on and when the bay started I went with my bay dog and two catch dogs. That hog went right back into that big waller and they caught him in it. Of course I could not reach him from the sides. Dogs had him caught so I went in. Skunks don't bother me but that waller had me and the dogs stinking so bad that I did not even take a picture of the hog. I washed me and the dogs in the creek but I had to go home in my drawers wash again in the hose and then go take a shower. But I still could not lay in my bed I went and slept outside because I did not want that smell in my bed. Those wallers can sure stink.

how do yall make oil rubs ?
An old piece of carpet. Put used oil on it and wrap it around something like a post, tree, telephone pole, and/or just hang it so the wind carries the smell.
