Peaches, Keith, my son and I headed deep into the pines in the 100 mph winds this morning. We turned a few dogs out and Ladybird Johnson drifted out. We let her do her thing and roaded Hunter and some young dogs around a couple of young pine thickets. It looked like Lady got one started on the Garmin and we finally got around to her and dropped some dogs on her track where she crossed a road. She brought the hog around close and Whisky and Blackie lit into him. He'd already been running about two hours and they commenced to pouring the heat to him. The race went on another hour and the hog screwed up, ran out of the thicket and into a block of pines the timber company burned last week. Whisky pulled ahead and the hog made it to a creek bed and ran out of air. We got him caught, layed the steel to him and he immediately went stiff as a board from the hard race. The hog was so stiff, he almost stood up by himself for a pic.

I can only imagine the wind ya'll dealt with, I was up at Rayburn and ended up leaving the pontoon in the water after several horribly failed attempts at gettin it back on the trailer in 30+ mph winds.......just gives me a reason to go back up this weekend  Grin

Good hunt and nice hog guys, love the pic of the cd and hog in the water!
