I feel like a dog shelter and a question for y'all

Haha right now I have 12 dogs,almost all different breeds/ crosses.

1.) Plott hound x Pitt
1.) Reg. Jagd
2.) Patterdales
2.) Catahoulas
1.) BMC
1.) Austrailian Shep. X Catahoula
1.) Austrailian Shep./ Catahoula x Bulldog
1.) Mastiff cross

I guess I figure I'd try every breed out there?

Question to y'all.. Do y'all run one breed bay or a couple. I'm wanting to eventually go to Mt curs and jagds. What do y'all think?

Use what works and fits ur style. I run a ridgeback x Pitt 2 redbone curr's and a cat. They work and hunt well together. Much less I can't afford more dogs.

Sounds like to many dogs . Heck you catch a hog who is going to handle all them dogs. But a poodle may work . If it will run and bay a hog it will work . Only pure dogs i have is my hounds . A cur is just that a cur .

Couldn't agree more! I'm going through the middle of culling right now anyways about 4 of those are 9 months and getting to where I know if they'll make a dog or not.
To your question though I only hunt with 2 bay dogs 3 at the most and a catch dog.

Where I've been hunting it seems like they are breeding for the biggest blades so I'm raising a bunch of pups to get started.

That's a crew of dogs/pups! I'm having do start over so I got got a few pups.out of each of all my buddies best docs to get me on my feet. Hopefully they fit my hunting style.
