Made another run last night with Stewart. He invited along some other guys I hadn't met before. I kept my dogs on the Ranger in the beginning due to plenty of dogs on the ground. Finally dropped Sasha and one of her pups and she rolled out to our left about 400 yards and had one sitting. At the same time Stewarts dog rolled out a mile the other direction and had one sitting. We ease over to Sasha and dump some catch dogs and the hog breaks. She takes it another 800 yards and sits it down. We regroup and decide to split up and go to both bays. Me, my daughter and one of the new guys I just met head to Sasha and they head to the other one. We get to about 60 yards and send both of his catch dogs and caught about a 160# boar. We load up the dogs and head across the property to help the others. Not sure what happened but they didn't get the pig. We load all the dogs and head on down the road. His dog on the hood started getting restless so we dumped the dogs and a few of them roll out and bayed up this nice boar with some good hardware at about half a mile away. We drive to about 150 yards and send people and catch dogs in.
This was my first time hunting with a Jagd terrier. I tell you what though them little suckers are ruthless.
