Me and the wife are looking to rent a house in the Houston area was wondering if anyone on here could help point me in the right direction. Must be able to acomidate five dogs that stay in pins a fenced yard would be a plus. Any help would be appreciated.

What side of town will you be working in? You sure don't want to drive thru Houston traffic everyday. I work about 15 miles north of downtown, but live 50 miles further north... this is about as close as I like to get. Grin

You do not want to live inside the city limits because you have too many dogs. But you can live just outside the city and be fine. I can walk to the city limits but I am not inside it. Houston is very big so pick a side you want to live on and your budget.

I bought my 1st house in Katy...  I would recommend trying to find a house in Brookshire. That's about 10 miles west of Katy, and is more of a "rural community" and the drive into town wouldn't be bad at all.  Plus it'll be hard to find decent housing in Katy for the $$$ your wanting to spend. One thing about Katy is they do have excellent schools. If you do look in Katy you'll need to look north of I10 for the most part, everything on the south side will be more expensive.

I lived in the heights for a while .. That was terrible.
Something like 8 burglaries and 1 murder on my street in just a year.

I live in Katy now it's a lot better
