made a hunt with a few buds yesterday afternoon on the new city land, no swimmin this time, put my chew dog and briar ,with the old ladies smoke pup just as we got on the place and in 5 minutes they had a solid bay300 yds. in the creek ,all the young guys ran and boar caught, around 150 or so ,no teeeth.
picked those dogs up and set out my Big RED, and the 2 plott xsBrin and Bear, knowin that if they  got somethin stopped long enough wouldnt need a bull.we make it to a long grass patch that the city used to plant in feed for the hunters and saw Red and the plotts burnin up ground across it,took us a while to figure ouut where they went once they hit the timber and make it around to em but as we set and listened we heard pig squeelin froma good ways off.made it to em and ythey had a decent sow chewed all to heck ,not much ears left and a few marks all over the rest of her.got her hobbled picked them back up and set my Chew dog and Briar back down and headed otu but they wasnt goin far ,they went right back the way we came from .heard em set down at a bay 30 or so minutes later.got to within 300yrds or so and it busted, then silence for another 30.but this time they had done what i  knew was gonna happen sooner or later. they were bayed 500yrs in the REFUGE at the base of MT.Scott.buy the time we got e few guys and liftin bulldogs over a 10 ft game fence and headed in the busted again and werre headed around the east side of the mt.went back to the wheelers and tracked em and they were goin the way i thouhgt.but it was gettin dark and no light s so i made the decission that they werent gonna quit it.they aint ruff so i was hopin they would be all right till i could get back in the mornin.
got up early and went to em ,trackin alll the way but it seemed strange that the signal was a constant beep and bar ,then i got worried that they might of tried him and paid the price.i walked in up the creek till i was wore out but they were clickin in strong  on the trackerbout a mile in and i dont know how many feet higher i hit a big boulder slide of the west side of scott, thats when i hollered hopin to get a responce, and they lit up the air.higher i went the more it didnt seem right but as i weaved in and around the boulders i saw chewys head and then briars up over a boulder the size of a truck.mad eit up to but they wasnt comin off that boulder . finally had to coax em down to me and hand feed em 1 at a time down thru the boulders.man was a glad to see me in 1 piece.got em down to solid ground and they were fine, dam dumb pups.

I doubt that I ever told you, but I caught my first walleye just east of the mountain where you took those pictures.  Back when they were draining Elmer Thomsa over into Lawtonka lake, I caught my first there..... just almost 10 lbs.  My dad about crapped his pants, we took that fat old girl home & ate her.  Looks like you guys are having a good time, and you're hunting what looks to be a really good spot.
