Bees

Any of y'all have problems with bees around your dogs or kennels? If so any tips on keeping them away? I have a CD that tries to catch everyone of them!!

I have indeed noticed that during the hot months, if you have concrete kennels especially, they do seem to be attracted to the urine. We'd spray our kennel out with soapy water multiple times a day to try to keep 'em away. I'm allergic to bees as well so I hope to see some good tips here!

Place a sugar water mix away from the kennels or house, say 20-30yds away. My grandpa used to raise bees n extract the honey n he would add sugar water mixes in the area to help with honey production n we noticed most of the bees were hittin up the sugar water instead of the flower near the house.

I havnt noticed an immediate death unless boilin hot soapy water is thrown on them, but yes, they will die from the soap over weighing them n choking them out, similar to spilling gas or acetone on our pants n not deluting it with water, it will cause a burnin n tinglin sensation bc its starvin our skin of O2 n cant evap fast enuf bc our clothing is in sence, addin fuel to the fire. But yes, it will kill them

Product called surrender that's 75% acephate and labeled for fire ants. Smells pretty similar to what I'ld imagine hell would smell like but when placed around a bee hive, it causes them to relocate....most of the time. My dad lost a coon dog to bees years ago. Had a dog tied under some tree that hadn't bloomed in years. When it did, attracted a huge swarm of bees.  They went nuts one day and stung anything around them, except the sheep.

I'm completely against killing bees because I have so many friends that make a living off of them and I like having them in my garden. You can easily draw them somewhere else by making a garden or dumping out anything sweet somewhere they wont bother you. I put out little bowls or simple syrup and even bust open old watermelons for them.

Yeah I was not really looking to kill them just trying to run them else where other than my kennels... I have a bee keeper down the street so we have a lot of bees flying around.. The sugar water just attracts more bees..

 use permethian around the kennels if the sugar water is attracting more and the 1s u got near the kennels are stayin put. u mite have to move the water further out, or just use a chemical. if I can recall, there was a chemical called, Bee-Go, that my grandpa used also.

Honey bees. I would just leave them alone and ask the bee keeper for some honey to make up for the bees. If you put out poison you could kill his hives. Just go talk to the man and ask what he thinks then tell him you do not want to run out of honey I always go for the win-win if I can. We need the bees for the crops just like we need the hogs under control.

I saw a documentary that somewhere in China they have to hire people that their job is to pollenate the fruit trees when they bloom because the farmers  killed off all the honey bees while they were using pesticides to kill the unwanted insects that were eating the fruit and fruit trees...they didn't realize what they were doing to the honey bees until it was too late...
