I'd reckon that's a good price. If he does what you want him to, you certainly got a good deal I'd say. I got mine for free from a fellow dogman, but I believe his littermates sold for around 3-500.

I have one that's reg .  I've never even looked at the papers , she's my boys house dog , she'll get a pig if I tell her or just sit and watch , shes been in the house her whole life , we made her a deer find dog , she chased a wounded buck down my boy shot and draged it down by the ear then just run aroud it until he shot it again ,super  super handle.   I paid 600 for her as a pup

if he is ready to start and he looks and acts right...and he catches then you got a steal of a deal...

if he is a pup and he eventually becomes a good catch dog you got a great deal...

if he doesn't catch then it is a chance you take when buying a pup...but from what I have read on the dogs you are talking about, the odds are in your favor...

I'm workin on gettin him bigger right now, he has a scrap on his chest I don't know what from but I've been doctoring it up and I got him 3 days ago so we'll see on how big he'll be pretty quick he's only about 70 pound right now but I'm pourin food to him and makein him pull weights so I can stud him when I can't use him as a catch dog anymore

I was about to say the same. aren't Mr. Allen Scott's dogs decently well known??? Huh? I swear I have read that name on here in the past...... regardless, a good solid dog that size that is catching hogs in the woods is worth 150$ in my opinion! sounds like a good deal to me if you were in need of a cd!

Its probably him, Andrew, the guy that owned Scooter asked me to find good working homes for those pups. I picked them up when they were about 8 weeks old. My cousin got the male and named him Carlos and Chance (strike dog kennels) got the female, her name is Patch. We had the male pup catching small shoats really well at 4 months old, but not long after that he got really sick and vet couldnt figure out what was wrong with him. Thats why he didnt keep him but he did fully recover from the sickness and made a good CD, I know he has caught some rank hogs for the guys that have been hunting him. I think you got a heck of a deal. Does he still have all his teeth?

That's a great deal if he's really bred like that! You should test him for NCL if he has had problems. Especially if you plan to breed him. You can google NCL test and pick one up for pretty cheap.
