I own a 2001 Ram 1500 2x4 with the V8 5.9L

Aside from me having to replace the engine due to a neglectful previous owner, and it going into the shop this week for unknown reasons yet....... I LOVE my truck. Hopefully I get the darn thing running again this week.

3.power steering pump went out- fixed
4.Steering box itself went out-fixed
5.Bushings are all shot under front(it wanders on the road soo bad- not fixed
6.power sterring pump is faulty and dont work- aint fixed lol
7.you have to lock it in 4wd 2 miles away for it to lock in- not fixed
8.Replaced trans 4 months ago- fixed

I could go on. But we're rough on the ol goat. You asked, i told  Grin

I wish I knew. I let her get super low on gas (I know I know :/) and I went to crank her up as we were gonna head up to the gas station, and she started sputterin and the engine was jumpin, so I assumed she was running out of gas. I went and got some gas from a neighbor and added some gas. Cranked her back up....same thing! Sounds terrible. I dunno if the fuel injectors are clogged up maybe since I let the gas get so low maybe some crus in there clogged it up? I put two cans of the seafoam stuff in the fuel tank too to try and see if that'd help, but it didn't. Finally getting her towed in to the shop Thursday, so I'll know something in a few days.

I have a 2000 model. It's the worst purchase i've ever made. In the three years i have had it I haven't had two months in a row go by without having to replace something. And everytime I think I've replaced everything imaginable something else goes wrong. Or I have to replace something for the second time. And it only has 140k on it and been well maintained. I know it could be just this truck but it's so bad I will probably never own another Dodge.

I have a 04 maga cab with hemi, I trash it hard. starts right up everytime. pushing 130,000 hard miles. I mean a week wont go by that im over 90 mph. I have put two cubes of brick in bed and pulled another 4 in a trailer. its only a half ton..only problem ac went out but was easy fix. ive replaced brakes few times(pads and roters) but thats it. I tried to replace the spark plugs ....well tjere are two in there, the rest are on floorboard;-) . I like other trucks better than dodge but mine has served me verry well.
