Any one with ideas with building a trap ? i have one from angle iron and cow pannel seems that theyre stopping at gate . i dont know if they dont like the wire on bottom or see angle iron on bottom or what ... can someone tell me their ideas . ive built round pens the shape of number 9 and no luck there either so im open to all ideas and what worked for yall

Look on go pro trapping may give u the tips and answers u want. I personally use a round trap with a slap gate bate it with corn and oil to keep varmits out or even get a sow put in there and put estris on her boars should come to the sint and end up in the pen. Im no pro but this is what helped me and some say the pigs are not to comfortable with stepping in wire or ect they like the rugular ground itself.. But anyhow good luck

We use that kind too but we cover the bottom of the trap with dirt, or mud from the hog pen and some leaves so that they might think it's safe, works for us |

Put you a hot sow in there or in another pen right beside they will loose their mind then

yep a sow is the best bait hot or not . we kept a sow in our corral trap 24/7 she was born in there and never left at the right time of year [ couple times lol ] the trap would fill up with boars and the rest the time with her in there the wild pigs lost the fear of going in the trap . we had two inward push gates going into the corral one you could set then when caught they would push into the corral . but when the sow was hot we didn't even have to set the outer gate the boars would push both gates to get in . we even had evidence [ by sign ] that a danged big ol boy had jumped the fence into the corral , took care of bizz-nizz and jumped back out lol . we built this corral trap with one end going into a pond so they had water 24/7 and just kept a 55 gal drum gravity feeder inside filled up with corn . we only had to run it once a week or when the rancher called and told us it was full and needed emptying .

i have used a sheet of plywood works great use motor oil to cover scent an to block water too. it keepes pigs from braking out an messing up the trap they cant grip when pushing or trying to run.lol |
