Yeah them llama's can get pretty mean on a yote. Two just calved and just got some alpaca's. but the yote was coming up through our other pasture. I'm sure if he had got in there with em it would have been a show lol they were all huddled up and walking towards it

Right on. I've been thinking of buying a Savage Axis XP or a Savage  in .308 to blast coyotes with but I want there to be some Coyote left after I shoot the damn thing!

I'm not that sharp when it comes to guns but a .308 is smaller than a .270 and judging by the picture there was a lot left lol. I have a .308 and a .270 both great guns, never killed anything with the .308

A buddy of mine showed me a picture on fb of a yote that had been hit with a .308 and it looked like it had been hit with a stick of dynamite! The only reason I haven't added a .308 to my small but growing arsenal is because up in my neck of the woods there aren't a lot of ranges to go to that'll go out past 100 or 200 yards without driving a few hours or finding a buddy who owns some property. My dream .308 bolt action would be a Remington 700 SPS with a good scope, a bipod, and threaded for a suppressor!

That .270 really did the job well. Had about. 3" hole on exit side. I like the .270 for one main reason. Ammo has never been hard to find lol it's also a pretty good rifle. Not a super rangy rifle but it will get the job done

.308 isn't smaller... A 270 is just a 30-06 necked down to a 270 caliber... The casing on a 270 is a bit bigger BUT that 308 is gonna jack a yote up... That's all I use and a lot of the time I don't have anything left... BUT I also use some crazy varmint rounds. With the right loads you won't mess up a yote too bad...
