ive been thinking about putting my dogs on chains but i dont have any shade for them. post up some pics of how youre set up.

Build you a good size platform with the dog house on it and they can get inside when it rains or under when its hot.

I did what clay posted, I had a aluminum band stand and I put two 55gal barrels on it and they're dug a fox hole Charlie would be proud of under it to escape the heat!! I clean out they're wading trough once a week, I just splash it under there to give it some moisture and they're good to go

 I build 3 5ft x6ft three sided sheds 5st tall .placed the barrel inside as well as water bucket and food bowl inside.Makes for good shade and can be build on runners to be portable.
