should i remove the dewclaws on the front feet or keep them? I usually don't keep them on whats yall thoughts?

I'd cut 'em. Save yourself and your dogs un needed headache down the road. They tend to get torn and you'll wind up havin to have 'em removed eventually, only it'll cost money.

I all ways remove the back ones at a couple days old but not the front , never had an issue . I have noticed thru the years that they do use the front ones a lot especially when jumping up on you and digging them in your sides lol I figured they would come in handy for extra grip when wrestling hogs .

I don't think they hurt anything if you leave them on. One older guy from Kansas told me they take them off up north because of hunting in deeo snow(a problem we seldom deal with in Txlol). But here's a twist for ya. My Dad swears if a dog has dewclaws, they can't get rabies. Idk where he heard that but I don't think so.lol

Clip em off with fingernail clippers at 2 days and dab em with a little power. Got a dog from a buddy and his hind claws grew so much they circled back and dug into themselves. Had two separate dogs break a front dewclaw at the joint some how in the woods. After they would just dangle there like an ear lobe… never showed pain when I was looking at them BUT don’t imagine it felt good wrestling through briars with a floppy finger. Had to cut them off just bothered me and now they all get done every time.
Its almost no work to get em off and it removes the chance for any issues later.
