during high school, I worked 2nd shift and or 3rd shift, went to school during the day. it paid for fuel, insurance, cig n beer money, with money left over, during the summer, I worked my nights or 2nd shift and threw hay during the day, and sometimes on my days, I would throw or cut hay to be thrown a couple days later. I made time to work and have time to spend my money. prioritize your income to what you really need, and budget for another collar.

I worked well over 40 hours a week in h.s. and hauled more scrap metal than I can remember. You can come up with $200 for a collar if you want it bad enough. That's only 1 regular size load of metal

That is like saying that you can't eat without a microwave oven. How did people hunt with dogs for centuries without a Garmin? I wish I had a Garmin but I have a family to take care of. I am working a job that I won't even say in public just to take care of my family. I have never had a Garmin because I just can't spend that money. I don't see no problem with hunting without a Garmin. Try using your ears to find your dogs.  If your dog don't bark just wait for the squeal to be real.

How did it break? Because if it's just not working you could send it in and get it refurbished for like 90 bucks

Just throwing this out there.. It only cost I think $79 or $89 bucks to have a collar fixed or replaced through Garmin. Its a lot better than $200 for a new one. Hope that helps you some..
