People who go on and on about how great there dogs are! Just a cpl days ago had a fella say his dogs could hang with any dogs in texas... I think enough of my dogs because I keep feeding them. But when someone asks me about my dogs I tell them there potlickers or bisquit eaters. I was told I was butt hurt because I wanted to see the dogs hunt. Even said I would leave my dogs at home. If you tell me how good they are and there the best dogs around I'm gonna wanna see them hunt. I can't help myself. Then again the same guy went and got a 6 month old cat gyp for free and then had her for sale asking 100 bucks for her. So I guess what I'm really trien to say is I just can't stand a mouthy person

We'll for the most part, I could care less what people do with hogs they catch except for a couple of places. I have hunted over 30 years on this  one place & everybody comes & hunts it during turkey season or deer season because you can. This place cant stand that kind of pressure & a few of us have taken means to make sure we have hogs there but when these johnny come latelys take everything out, you are pissing in the wind.
Another thing in our area, there would not be near the hogs in some places except for some of the old school hoghunters.lol Then here comes the wanna bees & they think it is their duty to take everything out without thinking of the hard work it took to get hogs there in the first place.
Dont get me wrong, I have helped countless youngsters get started, taking them with me, giving them pups. picking them up, yada, yada & so on. There are a lot of good, respectful young kids out there who truely love the sport & appreciate all that you have done for them. Then there are a select few who could care less about anything but themselves & these are the ones that give the rest of us a bad name.

AROUND HERE, IF A LAND OWNER FINDS OUT YOUR TURNING HOGS LOSE, YOU MAY NOT HAVE A PLACE TO HUNT FOR LONG. I'VE GOT QUITE A FEW PLACES TOO HUNT AND THERE IS NOT ONE LAND OWNER THAT WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE TURNING HOGS LOSE ON THEIR LAND OR ANY LAND AROUND IT. EVERY HOG WE CATCH IS DRUG OUT FOR THIS REASON. WE MAY LET SOME SHOATS LOSE EVERY NOW AND THEN BUT IT'S KEPT ON THE DL FOR SURE!!

Can't stand when guys bring there dogs  hunting with me and their dogs never leave the wheeler tell mine bay. They think it's ok. Who wants a blood bath? Not me! And some people think its cool to kill all the pigs? Why kill them if you ain't going to eat them. Barr them out.

I wish y'all hunted around here, I never get tired of killing the hogs. Need some more in a few spots.
Different ways of hunting for everyone. As long as it is legal I support it.

My gripe is people who can not take care of their dogs. Oh they are skinny because we hunt all the time. No , they are wormy and don't get enough to eat.

my biggest gripe I have  , is the reputation and perception we have received from the public due to the [ few ] unethical and rouge element in this sport . you know the ones that drive the roads and dump dogs on anybody's property at night where they see a pig cross and the ones running the deer leases at night when they know they aren't allowed in there  .

yes indeed...

all the hunters and fishermen need to be united to fight the anti's...but when dogs run hogs all night in a deer lease and the deer hunters are listening to dogs baying hogs or a hog dog walks up to the deer camp...then we have deer hunters demanding tougher dog laws...

and all the trespassers that cut fences and bust locks and cut gates and leave trash and ruts...and the land owners will demand tougher trespassing laws...

I made a smartass comment earlier in this thread just messing around BUT if I had one honest gripe about other hunters and fishermen for that matter it would be about leaving trash and tearing up things that are not theirs to tear up.......I can't stand driving down a lease road and seeing trash up and down both sides of it........not much different than when my other 1/2 and myself go to some of our favorite crabbing and fishing spots just to find them now off limits due to  inconsiderate jerkoffs leaving trash all over the place and tearing up roads.....this truely burns me up, we have lost some GREAT crabbing spots due to idiots leaving empty chicken packages, cans and bottles and twine all over the dang place........really sucks for the people who take the time to pick up after themselves and take care of the land that they are fortunate enough to have access to......

Most people think running shape is starved down... including a bunch of "hog hunters".

I dont know what it is about the south but we do have some trashy people here. I go up every year to bearhunt Canada, Wisc. or Michigan & they have the cleanest woods I have seen. You literally do not see trash along the roads. I know any major city in the US you will find trash but out in the woods, they have us beat handsdown.

I hate fake people getting into hog dogging for the money or reputation .!   What happen to the culture, food you need to feed your family? The herritage of hog dogging , or sport of it . Seems like everyone I talk to is competeing against each other . I promise if guys would swallow their pride stop competeing hunt together instead against each other theyd have a hell of a better time and catch more hogs .

O 1 BIG gripe I have (not like it matters because I never say anything about it to change it but still) is when I see and hear first hand about people buying dogs and or pups at the first of the month for 1 price then within a 1-2 weeks the same dang dogs and or pups are back up for sale for 3-4x's the price they were just bought for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I understand when you buy pups and put the time into em and buy shots/ meds etc etc needing to raise the price but seriously......what could you have done to the dog or pup in 2 weeks that constitutes the triple or quadruple in price Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?........nothing more than greed..plain and simple greed........
