Invited Richard (got2catchem) and his hunting partner JD down for a hunt on one of my honey holes. Showed him some new country and my style of hunting...."stick and move" Cheesy

We kicked the dogs out just as day broke and finished with 8 hogs by 10:00 am....nothing with size but lots of action. Richard has some excellent dogs and they continued to roll out on hogs until the heat wore us out.  The dogs did a lot of hunting and we covered lots of country. Garmin said we traveled 42 miles...not sure how many the dogs covered but it was a lot.
Me with Jagds and Richard

JD and Richard

Jagds Loaded

Breaking the dogs off

Mess of Hogs

Loaded and heading to the Truck

Richard checking out the Colorado River...Hoping he didnt get top heavy

View of the Colorado River

River Bottom...we were sure wanting to have one back up against the Bluff

One of my favorite places to stop and listen for the dogs

Luke worn out!

Richard listening for another Bay

Video of Bay and Jagd getting rolled

Richard and JD are good people and welcome back anytime! Thanks for the good hunt.

I know...but this place is 14,000 acres and I promise I dont put a dent in them.  They flew this place with a helicopter in April and the next day I caught 7 in a 1000 acre pasture. Im under strict orders to kill...but I like to think I manage my ranches by alternating ranches and not hunting the same areas of the ranch but every few months.  Grin

Nice work.

Have I hunted one of the pastures on that ranch? That place is a stinking honey hole!

That's some real pretty land out there.  I like catching the big toothy hogs but that kind of hunt sure is good for the dogs!  Wish I had more hunts like that!  Great hunt!

Steve, Yes you have hunted a pasture on that ranch.

 Rex and Richard,

Good hunt. You need to show me the gates to that place, I need a few more spots to hunt. Grin

Great Job!  Looks like hunting turned into work!:)  That 42 miles was nice to do on that Ranger.  Got one a couple of months ago and I dont know how I ever liked riding a fourwheeler.

I'm not pointing any fingers but......you take savoy and you catch zero.  You take Richard and you catch 8. That's very similar to my experience with the same two guys.  I'm sure its just coinsidence.  Wink

Great hunt!  That's any awesome looking ranch.

Took Savoy to the swamp and he promtly got his v-card punched.

He's out.  And you're out.  And i don't think I'm in either.
