Been hearing about a lot of hunters in North Texas buying dogs lately with one week trials. Problem is the dogs have never been hunted. When they call the guy back he won't answer his phone or text. He always wants to meet you at some public place. Sometimes will even have other people meet you. He got to a buddy of mine and since then I have heard a lot about this. Does any of this sound familiar.

very much so. It happened to me. Met in long view which is over an hour from me and when I got there he wanted to meet at a gas station. Well then he calls and says he can't make it and is gonna send his wife. Supposed to have a one week trial. Anyways I paid $400 for the dog and when I found out she wouldn't do anything I tried calling back with no answer. I googled his phone # and saw he had several other dogs for sale. So I used a buddies phone and called him and lo and behold he answered . We had a nice chat (sarcasm) but there wasn't any way I would have gotten my money back. I finally got the dog to do something, she's been doing pretty good now. This was all my fault shouldn't have bought her. He wasn't much of a man

He always forgets to bring his drivers license for some reason. Always in different vehicles. My buddy bought the dog off of here. Always says finished strike dog or catch dog but never gives any details.

I think the last of his number was like 1973 or something like that. I pretty sure it had 73. Mine wasn't advertised as finished but very well started

I haven't heard anything about ole claude in awhile... but I have been watching a cpl other fellas and there dealings. Do your research, ask names loations. The dogs name ask around. When you see a dog for sale on here or any other place look at other sites compare the posts! There is a few shady ppl in my area.

He is from up around Paris, tx. He got my partner for $400. Bought a finished gyp for $800 that was scared of a hog. After much harassment he actually sent a money order for half. I posted a long description of how the deal went down, along with his screen name and the phone numbers he used. I was banned from this site for what was called slander. It hasn't Been up until these last couple months I've been able to get back on here. Best thing I can tell you, is watch what you say about him on here, and if the chance presents it self give him one in the teeth for us boys in Leon county.

So u got banned for publishing the name n number/s of a crooked dog trader to hopefully prevent others from gettin takin for a ride and now others have been takin for a ride. Purty crappy to rmv a thread that could possibly prevent orhers from bein bent over the tailgate n taped. How is it slander if its the truth  Huh? How is it possible to bring thief n crook out in the open if the "issue" should be taken up in pvt  Huh? Dont make dang sence why u got banned for exposing a thief n tryin to help others out.

Hold on a second charles, while I see and agree with what you are saying we are only getting 1/2 of the story....... No offense to texashog26 at all but i have been in contact with at least 1/2 of the moderators at one point or another in the past and ive been on this site for quite a while, surely there is a little more to the story......

Justin, u r 100% correct about only havin 1/2 the info. Till the other half of the info comes to light, a person can only go off that. Im not saying he is correct about his bad dealings, but i cant say he is wrong either.

Justin, I call it how I see it. if it has webbed feet, flat bill and goes honk, honk. im gonna assume its a goose. if it ends up being a duck with a sore throat, then I call it a duck. a crook is a crook till something shows other wise. look at a person arrested for theft of a large some of something. until their case is heard and both sides are presented, those on the prosecution side see the person as a crook, those on the defense side may know they r a crook, but have to trick enuf of folks into believing the person is not a crook. I guess if the crook has greasy elbows, then they get to slip by.
