It was cooler yesterday so Michael invited me up to make a round.  We loaded up Hollywood, Britney, Stewball, Ivy (Hollywood pup), and Johnny to catch.  We went to meet up with Chris but his friend had car trouble so he had to go help them.  Michael decided we would hit this little bean field, since we were waiting for Chris right next to it.  It took us about 10 minutes to hunt it and all that had been hitting it was deer.  The dogs looked thirsty so we loaded up and stopped next to a hay meadow on the side of the road that had a tank in it.  We let them out to get a drink and they went into the corn across the road.  Hollywood opened up after about 2 or 3 minutes, shortly followed by Britney.  The garmin said they were 300 yds.  We hopped in the truck and drove around the corner onto a Farm to Market road and got within 90 yds of them.  I turned Stewball to them and left the pup in the truck.  We eased in and they had the hog bayed in some bloodweed next to the corn.  Michael turned Johnny loose from about 30 ft. and he hit and the hog began Johnny's @$$ whooping.  It chunked him and broke, with the 3 cur dogs grabbing nuts.  They got him stopped next to a nasty pond that looked like it had green carpet on the surface.  The hog was slinging dogs everywhere, and Michael was able to snatch his tail.  He gave Johnny 2 good cuts for about 16 inches.  We tied him up and then Chris showed up just in time to help us drag him.  Couldnt ask for more since all we were doing was letting the dogs get a drink.  Short and sweet about 30 minutes of hunting.

The bulldog is Michael's.  I try not to keep any since they dont seem to stay around here long.  I dont mind baying and calling dogs off if I dont have a bulldog.  He should be fine though.  He was still trying to get to the hog in the trailer when we unloaded the dogs at the house.

Matt, to tell you the truth I dont know.  I hate to make a guess, because I think he weighed more than what he looked like he did.  I dont know if Michael and I were just pansies last night or what.  We couldnt hardly move that sucker in the sticky gumbo.   He was the frame of a 250-260 but he was like a cannon ball.   I think he's gonna weigh him this afternoon.

Good deal, he looks about 275 in that trailer, post what he weighs if you hear from him.  You know if he still has that little brown pit I sold to him?

I was wondering if that was the case, not a bad a$$ but a good little pit and a funny dog.  That hog really jacked up her eye for sure.
