The hunted started nicely we get on a big group of pigs me canyonranch and txsteve! Catch about a decent little sow grab all the dogs up at the bay and Matt's ginger dog rolls out way off the property so they get in there truck go to the next cr to pick her up I told him we were gonna go down to the next place and wait for them at the gate so we headed that way and big big boar crosses the road in front of us i could see his teeth in the head light he crossed 300 from the gate on to the property we were fixing to hunt so I dumped out penny and ranger I was gonna let them get him bayed and we were gonna get close and wait for Matt and Steve with the cd's well they stop him about 900 yards in a tank so me and Jeff start easing towards them to see what we are working with and he was alot bigger then what he looked crossing the road! Well Matt and then are 200 yards from us coming well penny decides to look up at me and takes her eyes off the boar for a split second and he hits her and guts her right there on the spot and the boar shagged but and never stopped ranger tried to get him stopped but just couldn't get it done by him self the boar slipped up on us but now it's time to get out there and start head hunting! Penny finally pulled throug after 4 hours of surgery at the vet till 3 this morning when she heal up we gonna go back and bust his big ass! There no feeling like sitting in the woods holding your best dog while she lays there helpless i pray for a quick recovery cause I gotta get out there and take his big butt down!  Here is Matt and Steve with the first little sow. Wish I had a picture with the big boar! |

just happened to me about 2 weeks ago. had my gyps liver and what looked to be her bladder hanging out. she was the only dog there so we didnt catch it but will get on him once she heals up. good luck catching it and hope the dog heals up good

Sic'em, but go prepared cause he is gonna be twice as bad the second time around. I hunted one like that , that killed my Black Jack dog for over a year . Got on him several times cut all my dogs to hell and back slung catch dogs everything else . I got smart went with two back off dogs Mississippi and Sue and one catch dog I call the Little Mule when the Little Mule gets locked on and he hits them all they can do is lay there and kick and he sends them straight to Hog Hell ! The Little Mule is a 12 gauge with 1 oz Slugs , he is sawed off to 20 inches and he makes peace with dog killers !
Go prepared cause he gonna be badder than he was !

Everytime you are running dogs or trapping hogs, every encounter is different. Got to love it. Please be safe! Wild hog will get you if given the chance!!
