Don't know what specific species those are, but be careful, as MANY of the soft shell species of turtles are endangered/protected.

We good her in LA with the soft shells. Can only have one loggerhead a day recreationally. As many red ears and black turtles as you feel like cleaning. They on the move here. Been able to pick up a bunch of good ones lately. Mostly red ears, but they eat good to.

I been wanting to know how to cook turtle. I don't think the red ears are protected anywhere. So might just have to catch a mess of them and bring them over for some cooking lessons and some eat'n next year. I always say that it don't matter what it is. You just give it to a coon@$$ and they will cook it up real good.

What u callin red ears? If its what im thinkn, iv always called a painted turtle bc the head looks like it has red, blue n orange paint splattered on it. If its the same turtle, thems good eatn too. It take a few medium sized 1s to make a good meal, but its good, same with logger/snapper heads, especially if they hav eggs, just throw them in the pot too n u got poached turtle eggs, ummmm gooood

Prob the same thing. Streaker heads, red ears, several names. It's the ones you find in about every tank around. Got the red stripes up each side of their head. Females are bright colored and get bigger. My wife will almost stab you with a fork if you try and mess with her turtle eggs, lol. I like the yellow ones, but never been able to slurp down the ones shelled out already. Good eating for sure. Soft shells are my favorites though.
