Noah the past four or five years we have gotten to be pretty good friends you and lee probably the best a guy could ask for i haven't been around in awhile i know i know but being ol buddies like that i more than anyone gave you more crap about ellie as you gave me about my hounds but it was in good fun she hunted and i watched her progress from a wanna be to a real hog dog it sucks bad what happened and i can say i know how you feel with either blue or shelby loosing a great one is the hardest thing to overcome and even worse for other dogs to come behind her I am truly sorry for the loss .

Thanks brother, I appreciate it.   I remember ol' Ell and Shelby working good together there for a while... in fact, that was right about the time Ell really started turning on.   They just worked real good together.  And Blue sure caught a couple good hogs with her too.... Blue was the first dog I ever really grieved over when he went, was like losing one of my own.

It's been a rough past yr for both of us, you and I are due for some good luck.... that's for damn sure!   At a certain point in life, we all have to do what we have to do and there ain't no reason to apologize for it.... just life.

I've always enjoyed watching you work with your dogs, and have learned a lot watching you believe it or not   You've got the gift of dog training....way more than I ,  hopefully you'll be able to get back to it one of these days.

BTW, we're going Sun morning if you want to come, only got Shiner left, but she's gonna give it hell!  Nothing hard-core, bring Katie and I'll bring April and Fin.... hell.... ol' Lee-ferd might actually bring his women folk an we'll make an' occasion out of it!   We're gonna roast some oysters(and hopefully backstrap ) for lunch!  Call me, I lost your # with my phone....
