The much anticipated Garmin Astro DC50 collar has Done well in our testing and reviews. The just-released DC50 is ruggedly built and equipped with new features like a battery-saving rescue mode, longer braided steel antenna for increased range, and GLONASS-enabled satellite tracking to vastly increase your coverage in the field. This makes the DC50 the must have Collar for those hunters who were reluctant to buy the DC40’s.  Contact our Garmin-smart employees at Double U Hunting Supply to explain why. Contact us at mail@dusupply.com or 855-DU HUNTS (855-384-8687) to find out more, or check out the DC50 yourself at www.dusupply.com

One of the features of the 50 I'm most excited about is the bark indicator that lets you know if dogs are barking.

Here's a pretty good write up.

Just reading about this from an e-mail I received this morning. Wish they could be picked up on the Astro 220.

This sounds like an all-around better product than the dc40, I will be adding a couple to my system here before long!

I read the poop sheet on them and I must say that I'm impressed with Garmin....seems they've listened to what the hound/ big game dog folks have been asking for. You will have, after the free update, access to 21 more satellites which is almost twice as many as before. The Rescue Mode will be a great feature as well seems to me....certainly for all you folks with the endless bottom dogs that get waaaaaay out of pocket. I may have to upgrade to a couple of these before Jan. Oh....they have a much beefier antenna so they say as well......longer and larger in diameter.

The addition of GLONASS is a big deal. This is the first review I've read that states this. GLONASS In combination with wass will greatly increase GPS accuracy. Now if the antenna is up to snuff for communication with reciever(handheld) they could have something we've all wanted. GPS signal should not be an issue beings now they should track around 29 SAts instead of 9.

I've got two 30's with the extended range antennas I might be willing to part with?  Don't have the charging cords for them though.
I updated the collars and antennas recently.  Can't remember the colors since I'm at work.

They sound great other than not working with the 220. Can't see myself going to buy a 320 just for this collar.
