Got a frantic call this mornin bout 5 am. Few buddy's had a big ol bar hog bayed solid, no dogs would catch it. So I loaded up 2 catch dogs and boy do I wish I would have missed that call now. I sent ol beau dog in there ( pit x redbone) and boy was it a fight, so I went on and sent kalimba ( dogo ) in there. Now I ain't never seen a hog shake two purty big dogs off it. Kalimba got thrown higher then I care to even guess how high up he went. Dogs will be in recovery for awhile. But I will catch that boar one day.

That sucks , hope your dog heals fast

If you had a little catch dog like a jack Russell or Jagd or something you prolly could of caught him , just gotta get his mind on the dog latched on to him an go leg him , I have seen a few big dogs get slung only to have little dog stay caught an you can get a hold of the hog

By reading dodgegirl's story, them dogs DID try to catch. I've seen very seasoned CD's get slung off of bad hogs. It does happen.
They're dogs not machines after all.

To be honest with y'all I wasn't thinkin straight. I wish I would have dropped them together. I had vested beau at the house but didn't put one on kalimba. Figured I wouldn't really need him I guess. Buddy's dog got a pretty good lickin, hopin she pulls through.

Always go loaded for bear better to have and send both and not need both then to not be prepared and need both at same time.

Hell girl...., hindsight is 20/20.....can't do nothing bout it now. Get ur dogs back to 100% and go catch that hog yourself and next time kick them boys square in the nads for not inviting you until it got real lol!

Lol Justin. They had invited me the night before, but I just wasn't feeling up to it. I've been real sick the past few days. They know better then to not invite me lol. When I got there I said ya can't ever send a man in without a women to finish the job

when using two catch dogs send the slower one first and then send the faster dog...plan it so that they get there at about the same time...
