Ok y'all tell me what y'all think. A few days ago a good friend that I work with called me and told me they were workIng on his brothers house and were standing around takin a break and seen a solid black cat about 2-2/12 foot tall with about a 4 foot long tail walk out of the  creek walk down the fence line and jump the fence and disappear into the field. All three of these guys I trust and know they didn't make it up, two days later another guy that we work with had gotten some new baby goats. Last night he heard the goats screaming ran outside with a spot light and saw a large black cat jumping out of his goat pen. He lives less than a mile away from where they saw the  Cat a few days ago?

Well I believe that they are deff out there. Awhile back had another friend that I haven't talked to in two years call me wanting to know of I was still predator hunting a lot cuz he had seen a big black cat cross his pasture. He sent me a pic of it that je took with his cell phone. It was deff a large black animal built like a cat . This was about 5 miles from where the guys seen that one this week. Im thinking maybe a jaguarundi ?

I saw one years ago. It was off the property so I did not shoot it. I really wish I would have shot that cat because of all the trash I have heard about it. I can say for sure that if I ever see another one I will shoot it and I don't care if it is in front of city hall. Then at my trial they will have to show pictures of a dead big black cat for every one to see.

There isin any pieces of land big enough to drop hounds on in the area where they have seen it. I'm thinking about doing a little calling over there tho!

I have seen a large cat with a long tail in southeast AR. It was early morning and a Lil foggy and at distance but not to far. I was looking thru a 3x9 scope and it appeared to be black. I didn't shoot that day but if it ever happens again I will have physical proof of something.

Ive never seen a black one but I have without a doubt seen mtn lions/cougar/panther or whatever you wanna call em in southeast texas. There are way too many people who say that they HAVE seen a black one for me to not believe that they are out there.....i do agree its a hell of a coincidence that 1 has never been killed but still....too many people say that they have seen one for me to believe otherwise!

We've heard them at night and our neighbors jumped one up in the pasture next door when the weeds were real tall. Scared them to death

x 2

According to a biologist I have talked to, there has never been any recorded proof that a mountain lion has a black color phase. Now a jaguar or a leopard does have a black color phase so maybe a escapee from captivity is on the loose. I have lived all over the country & I have heard stories about a black panther that has been seen in the area.
Another option, I have run russian hogs that I saw cross the road & thought they were black but when we caught them were that rusty reddish brown color, so alot of times animals seen in shadows do look black.
I wish we had more of them, I would love to tree one with my hounds, not to kill it but just to get some photos.
Another thing, talk to any lion hunter & they will tell you, lions just are not very vocal, they will hiss & growl when treed, but scream, never.

Well believe what you will I've seen one at about 15yds on my bow stand black and a big cat proof enough for me to believe them I saw it. Its also illegal to kill one in wildlife pamphlet how is it illegal to kill something that doesn't exist?

I would have a hard time believing it. You talk to old time cat hunters that have treed thousands of cats and they have never seen one. One guy used to live on the New Mexico border and have treed and photo proof of jaguars and never seen a black one.

I equate it to most of the people that tell you they have hogs on there property that are "way over 500lbs" and when the strings are put on them they are 1/2 that size.

Well I know we aren't crazy, and we have seen one (both my husband AND I) on three occasions over this way. I believe they're out there.
