I havent posted in awhile cause everything has been about like this sow but this had a pretty good story. Started about sundown a couple miles from the kennels and I had no idea this place had the type of terrain we found. Put pepper, track, red on the ground and within 5 min we had a sounder bayed up. Ended up catchin one sow out of that, then the race was on. Pepper went east 1.1. Worked our way into 50 yrds from pep and cut loose and headed in and the bottom dropped outta the ranch. She's was down in this canyon and CDs busted the bay goin in and it took us another two hrs to get dogs caught and headed out.

This is my new Peech pup that me and a good huntin partner (mattr) swapped pups for and I know she's to young to be in the woods but when I was loading dogs she was trying her damnedest to jump in so I just let her tag along, once we had the first bay she went to raising hell in the box so I just put her down to walk along and see the hunt. Got a few barks out of her after we caught out so I'm lookin forward to raising this pup she's about 4.5 months now by next winter she will be rockin and rollin,

This pic below was down about 300 yds down in this canyon that I had to walk down into to get Willie out of a little hole in the rock with about 6 foot walls he fell into, thank goodness for Garmin

Thanks everyone for reading

Congrats on the hunt man, always enjoy readin your hog hunt threads.......... Hell I think you are doing right with that pup, if she wants to go then take her! the earlier she gets exposed to everything the earlier she will fire up and turn it on in the woods....good job and keep it up!

Good hunt! How long have you had pepper? I owned her for a couple years a while back. She was my first real hog dog and I wish I never sold her. How old is she now she should be gettin on up there?

I've had her for a couple winters, I got her from my brothers good huntin partner Robert up from north east Texas when he sold out to get a little deeper into the cattle business and she was about 75% to being a lead dog and was a back up to my lead rope. Since I lost him she has stepped in and really settled into the top spot and the young dogs really improve hunting with her, she's lead me across some country for sure
