Depends on how "legitimate" you want it to be.
Back ground checks for candidates set at a certain tolerance would be a big plus. It would weed through the riff-raff.
Forming a board/command group....based off of the military sections (S1, S2...etc) would seemingly be a smart place to start. This initial command group should probably be responsible for outlining the groups "writ" if you will. In addition...the command, after the initial formation of the group should rotate through democratic elections. Revisions to the "writ" should be made when needed.
The list goes on and on.

I sec that kevin. In order to hav an orginization with a similarity to the state guard, it will all have to start with the foundation building blocks of former military personel with the paticular skill set needed to get the ball rollin.

We will keep everyone interested posted. This isn't gonna be something that starts up in a week.or two there are going to have to be a lot of things discussed and lined out before anything takes place. That being said if there are any thoughts ideas suggestions please voice them so that everything can be taken into consideration. But that being said let's keep it legitamete, rreasonable, and respectable. This will not turn into a bunch of rednecks getting drunk and shooting chit up!! And I mean no disrespect by saying rednecks just to be clear.

I know a millita man he said they do boy scout training stuff. He got bored and stopped going. He said they were mostly fat boys who just sat around and talked crap about everybody.He thought they would be killed pretty quick and all who depended on them if it ever got real. i would sure need more than that to get on a watch list.Thats why I never joined one plus the racist stuff they tend to support.If the government was ever ready to really seize total control they would just swarm the millita mans homes one at a time and arrest them first, anyway it wouldn't be a hill to die on kind of thing. it would be federal agents arresting them at work one at a time and charging them over a period of time. so there wouldn't be a Lexington green for the miltia.It would be separate arraignments in federal court over a year or two.Then prison off to prison.

I'm not discriminating against rednecks. Rednecks are more than welcome but we will not behave in the stereotypical way "rednecks" act. And we won't be a militia we will just be a group of people learning skills in am organized manner. Theres no law against a group of people learning new skills. And as far as the racist crap I don't care white yellow black brown whatever as long as you have a clean background your welcome to learn with everyone else.

seems like everyone wants to put regulation on who can attend or be a member. listen carefully. when or if the s*** hits the fan. I will gladly take a dozen felons who are business owners and family men now over a whole bunch of Johnny Boy Scouts in there Toyota Prius.
