Rescue Pup to go to good home (carrollton/plano) Daisy is an interesting puppy with an interesting story. I was in the woods in central east Texas a few weeks ago when I heard a sizable animal behind some brush. When this animal emerged into the clearing, I saw an emaciated, bleeding puppy. She had a hog collar on and I was certain she had been lost in the woods for days if not weeks. She was certainly only a day or 2 from death. After some rigorous persuasion she came back to my parents home with me. I fed her and checked her information on her collar and called her owner. I was sure they would be overjoyed that they're long lost little girl had been found. They however didn't seem to be too excited. Which posed the question, 'How long has she been gone?' The man answered that she had been gone since that morning. She had been starved and beaten by her very own owner. I was disgusted, hung up the phone, and took her home with me a few hours away. She has been with me for 3 weeks. She has since then been deflee'd, gained weight, and her wounds have healed. I have nursed her back to health to the best of my ability but unfortunately do not have enough time and attention to give this little girl as I am a full time employed single mother. She needs someone who has time and love and attention to spare. I wish I could keep her but I don't think it would be fare to her. She is very sweet and very beautiful and has never shown to be aggressive; a little ball of love. She looks to be a mix of lab and maybe hound. She would be great for a family or a single man who wanted a loving companion. Please call me for more details if you are interested and I will text pictures. She needs a good home, She deserved it after what she has been through.
this was on craigslist...anybody know whos dog this would have been!? these tree huggers are driving me crazy for sure..

Good grief.
I just LOOOOVE how every dog that is found that may be a hunting dog is automatically "beaten" and "abused."

Well to the in experienced its easy to look that way, and it sure as hell is real easy to seem that way when she actually called the number and the guy didn't give a crap about the dog. Way to make us look like we're responsible

Whole story sounds like complete BS to me.......who hunts with starving emaciated puppies first off, secondly from a pure monetary standpoint who is going to waste money putting a cut collar on a dog and then willingly leave it and not care........im calling BS on this story....... Its possible she found a puppy that someone dumped but a hogdog?!?!? I highly doubt it!

Sadly but surely guys, everyone isn't like "us". We as responsible hunters who actually care for the dogs that work for us so hard whenever asked aren't everywhere. It wouldn't surprise me the least little bit, the ad doesn't say she had a tracking collar, it only says a hog dog collar. I'm not defending her, but I am saying there is just as many guys doing it the wrong as there is doing it the right way. Im sure everyone on here has at some time come into contact with what you would call a sorry dogman, type that feeds sometimes and couldn't hold the handle on car door much less have the know how to handle dogs. Jmo for what its worth.

I highly doubt it! im with you...esp with how a collar was on it WITH name plates...someone who doesn't give a number 2 wouldn't have wasted money on a collar and name plates to just not care about the dog..

How does a sizeable animal turn into a little ball of love puppy. This lady needs her own csi reality show because she was able to deduct from one phone call that the dog was abused by its 'owner. If she saw my dogs shed probably turn me in for over feeding and causing obesity.

I dont particularly want mine to bite a stranger, i prefer em to tuck tail and run! If they cant catch em they can't take em!

That craigslist ad makes me so mad. I didnt see the dog so "maybe" it was thin....who knows.... but how the heck does this woman KNOW that the dog was beat by its owner?!?!?
The whole post does sound like nothing more than peta propaganda. NO HUNTER IS GOING TO JUST LEAVE A DOG WEARING A CUT COLLAR WITH CONTACT INFO and then when called not go pick the dog up. I cant stand people like her.
